Pan & Zoom
Pan & Zoom moves the viewer's view into one area of a step's screen, so a small control or a detail in a busy page is impossible to miss. It is set per step, and the area is drawn on the canvas.
Rows
- Zoom area (on the canvas)
- Drag the corners of the zoom area on the canvas to choose where the viewer is taken. Preview and Remove float with the area.
- Transition
- How the view moves in: Smooth glides into the area, Fade zooms with a soft fade so the target stays visible, Circle focuses with a circular reveal, and Instant jumps without animation.
- Duration / Start delay
- How long the move takes, and how long the step shows at full size before it starts, in seconds.
- Remove Pan & Zoom
- Turns zoom off for this step and clears its area.
Tips
- The zoom area must contain the selected hotspot and its tooltip, or the viewer would be taken past the thing they are meant to click. The panel warns you when it does not.
- Instant suits a step the viewer should read immediately; Smooth and Fade make the move itself part of the story.
