Editor panel
Layers
The Call-to-action panel styles the guide on the selected step — the hotspot, walkthrough popup, or spotlight a viewer clicks to move forward. It is where you write the Next/Back labels, position the guide, and control zoom, backdrop, and branching for that one step.
Rows
- Type
- Switches the guide between hotspot, walkthrough popup, and spotlight.
- Next label / Back label
- The text on the forward and back buttons the viewer sees on this guide.
- Position / Fitting / Fixed position / Set dimensions
- Where the guide sits over the screenshot and how it is sized and anchored as the viewer scrolls.
- Pan & Zoom / Zoom level
- Whether the player zooms into the target on this step, and how far.
- Custom style — Color / Style / Shape / Text alignment / Text color
- Per-step overrides of the guide's look, on top of the Design defaults.
- Show tooltip
- Whether the guide's tooltip text is visible on this step.
- Backdrop / Backdrop intensity / Dim around hotspot / Spotlight color
- The dimming behind the guide that focuses the viewer's eye on the target element.
- Play animation once / Progress on click
- Whether the guide's animation loops, and whether the viewer must click the target (vs. any Next) to advance.
- Completion step / Last-step behavior
- What happens after the final step — loop, stop, or run a completion action.
- Selected flow / Pinned target step
- Branch the viewer into another flow, or pin where this guide points.
- Reset scroll / Disable autoscroll / Scroll speed
- How the player scrolls the screenshot into view when this step opens.
- Show step number (this hotspot) / Navigation
- Whether this guide shows its step number and the Next/Back navigation.
Tips
- Design sets the default look for every guide; use this panel only when one step needs to differ.
- Turn on Progress on click when you want the viewer to actually click the highlighted element instead of skipping ahead.
- For start/end popups that cover the whole step rather than point at an element, use the Pop-ups panel.
